Katherine's trip around the Baltic Capitals.

As a few of you will know Katherine had 2 weeks off at the beggining of September this was to go travelling on a Fred Olsen Cruise ship - the Balmoral - around the Baltic Capital, which was an experience and adventure in itself!

The first stop was Tallin, Estonia which was an incredible Medival City full with history and plenty of markets!

The second stop was St Petersburg, Russia where the ship stopped for 2 days this gave you a real good chance to see the whole of the City. Instead of buying a Visa Katherine booked on to do tours with Fred Olsen, by doing that you are automatically put on a group visa this really gave you an insight into the history and lifestyle of St Petersburg.

Katherine attended the Ballet on the night which was a real look into Russian Culture - this would be highly reccomended to do!

She also visited the Church of Spilled Blood which was where Alexandra 2nd was assassinated - the cobbles are still there covered with his blood still to this day! This was incredible.

The third stop was Helsinki, Finland this was very different to the first two stops yet interesting to see! The market was brilliant, filled with food and lovely carved wooden gifts with pictures of Moose on.

The fourth stop was Warnemunde, Germany - this was not what she expected Germany to be like at all. It had a lovely beach (where she went paddling) and a small fishermans market with plenty of shops where she invested in a Amber ring.

The fifth stop was Copenhagen, Denmark this was amazing - all the colour and small buildings were so lovely to see. You see Copenhagen on many films but nothing prepares you for the views you see when you are standing there looking over the river.

This is a very breif look into her adventure yet she is in the process of making a scrap book with everything you need to know if you were thinking of doing this cruise so pop in and take a look!
